Okay here is the thing.
I am looking to start a straight hardcore band something like terror.
I am tired of metal...thats the scene here. Anyone interested in straight hardcore?

I have no idea what straight hardcore is, and I'm not looking it up on Wikipedia.

I think he meant straight *up* hardcore. As in good old punk-hardcore, think late 80's early 90's hardcore. Not post-hardcore or metal-hardcore or experimental hardcore.

Ooooh, that sounds fun. If I had time, I would be on that like fat on bacon.

you would!
lolz jk.
and yeah, terror is straight up, to say the least.
dalin, i wish i could help you, but most of the people i know are the opposite of you... tired of straight up hardcore, becuase thats what dominated the scene with GFA in charge. thats not a bad thing, but a lot of people are looking for a variety now. i hope you get something going though, something just friggin brootal like terror or bury your dead, that would get people goin.

Hardcore fans say there aren't any hardcore bands, and metal fans say there aren't any metal bands. From my experience I feel that the problem is too many bands have fallen into this middle ground where they're just barely punk enough to be hardcore and barely technical enough to be metal, but not actually good enough that any group wants to claim them.

haha im not being negative, the bands we do have are truely good we just need MORE MORE MORE!!!! I think the exact opposite. You need to focus on QUALITY, not QUANTITY. I'd rather there be six good bands in town than a hundred that blow.

How bout we just get more metalheads to go to shows and start bands every band that starts isnt going to sound great, but with time they will... you gotta start some where and if there is a bigger metal scene then venues are gunna have to support metal bands and throw more shows.
