Hi,
I am a dilapidated warehouse that is rented by several ex big city kiddies that wish eugene had a more diverse and thriving art and music scene. While I appreciate the hard work of those involved, I crave a subversive scene that is more than jam bands, ragtime, pop punk and doom metal. Not that these aren't good, I just need more. I also feel that supporting contemporary, urban arts is a vital counterpart to a thriving music scene. I hope in the future to host music and art shows, but in reality the "enthusiasm" of the eugene police keep me pretty quiet for now. I want Eugene to be a stop that musicians look forward to coming to, where they are rewarded with good attendance and beer money. I am looking for cohorts and accomplices. I think we need to get a few more all ages venues, and then more bands will come through. Also figuring out how to not get shut down after the first month would be helpful.
