I really think you should wait to put out songs and really learn how to mix first. It just seems like you're throwing out whatever without really trying except for your lyrics and the idea of your beat. I mean I would take you more seriously if you put out one really well produced song instead of just 6 mediocre songs (all in reference to production quality).

I only have four songs up right now, and none of them are terribly mixed. I deleted the ones that i didn't feel were mixed well enough to put up. The ones up right now all sound alright. They are quiet in comparison to high quality songs but i can't do anything about the way garageband normalizes. But i am learning more every song i make.
And in my defense, its alot harder then you think, especially when i don't really have adequate equipment.
also... i am trying, so thanks for that..and the only song i really really slacked on was the christmas song, because i wanted to put it up before christmas was over.

I think you should learn more before putting out a song. Because if you have a song up for a few months and reproduce, I dont think you'll get as many people to give it a refresh unless they are die hard fans or really close friends. I know it's hard. Now that I have a OSX running on my computer, I've been fucking around with a few programs ands it's not terribly easy. But I think perfect practice, makes perfect.

Because if you have a song up for a few months and reproduce, I dont think you'll get as many people to give it a refresh unless they are die hard fans or really close friends. well, the new new testament is the only song i have reproduced(and four times i might add) and i think this time i got it right. But as far as needing to reproduce songs, lyrically i have so much material, and untapped potential material as well. The vast majority of the songs i have ever put up i write pretty much on spot, make the beat, then record, its not like these are works of mastery that take forever to write, it just kind of comes out of me naturally. So i am not worried about running out of material to impress people when i get better at the recording process. Also i have been talking to some dudes that are good at it, and down to help me out and work with me so theres also that option which is splendid. None the less thank you for the constructive criticism. As any one who has ever talked to me about my art, or music or anything actually, can tell you i am not the best at taking advice and criticism, but i am learning
