How would you know what a MAN'S time signature is?
Brandon's gender: Boyish.

Haha...a man's time signature is actually 15/8...that shit is hard to count.
Or play to some Zappa...that guy wrote almost everything in free time.
Hell, he wrote polyrhythms inside of polyrhythms. Which is extremely hard to write out musically, and even grasp.

Oh god. You guys are talking music.
Fuck. Gimme six strings, an amp, distortion, and speakers, and I'm set.
Oh wait. A guitar to put them strings on. Since I know one you assholes will say something like "whatcha gonna do with six strings and no guitar."
Likely. Perry.

Yeah, but there's a lot of diversity when you're not in constant 4/4. Brahmin doesn't do as much as i'd like, but we try. We got polyrhythms and a 6/8 riff, but other than that we're pretty standard.

Yeah...different signatures make the music more interesting.
When you have a riff that's in 4/4...try cutting off the upbeat of the 4th count, therefore forcing it to be 7/8, and you'll have yourself something that sounds different.
Also...listen to some Dillinger Escape Plan...and figure out the signatures they use. I'm really not a fan of them...but they definitely know what the fuck they're doing.

Yeah...I don't think they're really good...at all. But they know what the fuck they're doing...which is more than I'd like to say for most bands these days.
Oh yeah...new Job For A Cowboy is super fuckin' awesome.

It's not metal, which is what you're primarily into, so that makes sense. They're super talented, and really enjoyable, for me at least.
