Hey hey, my name is Steven. Currently I write folky dance numbers and play them with my trio Free Bananas, I play percussion in Samba Ja, and bass for a new group called Susurri (which will be renamed soon probably). I am really excited that you are all here doing what you are doing. I'm here to help out in any way! www.myspace.com/freebananaswww.myspace.com/sambaja

Hi I'm Sean, I'm a vibist (vibes as in vibraphone ) so needless to say I mostly play jazz and symphonic stuff. I play at LCC and I have been playing mallets for about seven years now. I've never been in any functional band outside of school but that's just because my instrument is way too expensive. I'm actually surprised to be invited here (via myspace) since the only ones here that I know (or at least now I know) are Milo, Keenan, and the other Sean.

Well my name is Leif. I just recently joined the "hyphy-death-rawk" band Death Rides A Horse. My instrument of choice is guitar, which I've been playing for about 7 year but I play bass for DRAH. I would do anything and everything to help this scene flourish for generations to come. get at me! myspace.com/shigiggles <3

Hey, my name is Harley. Not really into going to shows. But I do play guitar a bit, trying to get better. I am going to start something up soon, so, that will probably be fun.

It's good to see you're being active here. Dude look like a lady! My name's Seth. I'm here, I'm beer, get used to it. I remember going to my first concert at the WOW Hall at the age of 11 or so. I saw the group American Girls, which was actually a bunch of guys. Kind of a funny deception. I don't know if they're still together, but that show was impacting. It made me realize the power of sound. It can draw people to an area just to make their ears buzz and hopefully their feet move. But it's so much deeper than that! I can't say I only love fast songs, slow songs, harmonious songs, brash songs. My ears are a melting pot. But what I take in isn't as much as what I wish I could understand about how this music thing got here and exactly what the meaning is. I think I love music because it's both within and beyond comprehension.

Hey dudes, I'm Luke. I've been lurking shows for the last 4 years. Back in 2005 there was a small metal-core thing with 2 of the guys from Under Enuff that had me on vocals, but it lasted about a month. I've since been traveling or saving up to travel, and just returned from a year abroad.
True story, there is a little town in Switzerland called Davos, one of the most ridiculous, most expensive tourist ski towns in the world. You may have heard about it because it hosts an event known as the World Economic Forum, an event where ultra rich people from around the world come and talk about money issues, how they can make more money, and how they can look better in the eyes of the weary public. As an added bonus they drive around in their SUV motorcades all week, clog up the traffic of no-stoplight town, and then sit down and talk about global warming.
BUT despite how decadent that town is, there is a small underground scene there, and they have a punk rock bar in old warehouse space that puts on a show on a near-weekly basis. The bored school kids have a place to go, play foosball, buy cheap beer (straight edge is not very big there), and see bands that are regionally local or on tour. They have it down with booking, and had a pretty good variety of bands. It is pretty crusty and pretty awesome.
Point being is this. If a kids in a Swiss town of 16,000 people can get their own sustained momentum with an underground music scene, it can happen anywhere.
