Of course it was Sean Muthafuckin Corkum!!!!
Muhahahahaha!!!
SMFC biatch!!
lol
Anywho. On the subject of the show. It was fuckin awesome, especially during Arkhum. I definitely felt some kind of . . . tension . . . going on a bit earlier, especially with the weird little altercation during Naked in Alaska, I don't know what the fuck happened there, but it looked like some serious bullshit where people just needed to chill out. Grabbin dudes from behind in a headlock, eh. Not so chill. But props to John, gettin in there and breakin that shit up without a ruckus.
Message to all peeps on that one : whether it be our homies our not, we ought to exercise a slight more discretion in breaking up fights. I was wading in to find out what was up when John showed up, but I didn't "rush" in looking ready to fuck shit up and throw down. I think that's what gets some of this out of control, maybe not the worst intentions just not executed so well. Keep it calm, cool, and collected, and stuff shouldn't escalate.
And cha, most of the people were definitely out there rockin the dancing and be respectful and responsible about it. That was fuckin sweet, I'll pit next to you guys anytime. Rockin out and having a good time with it. There was one dude I got a little tired of, simply because I got hit numerous times in the face and head, and it happened to be only one dude each and everytime. And it mainly only got to me because I thought the level of force and violence behind the swings were far overboard for the amount of people right there. You're gonna get hit in general, I don't mind so much, it just shouldn't be enough force to cause serious damage even on an accidental. To me, that's a wee overboard. Kinda as if I were to try and crush people when I knocked into 'em.
OH fuck, Sean rant again. Damn it!!!!! I always do this.
Anywho, I appreciate everybody who came out last night and had a fuckin killer time with me down at the Duck. If we can keep the shows at this level I think we're doing pretty good. If this is the path we're headed down and we can continue on this level of growth, I don't forsee having a bunch of issues.
Words to ya muthas, d00tz.

Anyways, enough about the immature "tough guy" shit. The show was awesome. We have some pretty talented bands here in the ole' 541. Arkhum killed as usual. Naked in Alaska would make a good Bring Me The Horizon cover band/tribute band. But I was thoroughly impressed by Karma/Broham/Whatever they're called and I'll be looking forward to future shows. Keep up the good work boys. YUP. yeah and that first band was totally unmemorable. i cant even remember their name. and their bass player is gay, or so i hear. BEFORE ANYONE GOES ASSUMING ANYTHING This was a fantastic show There was plenty of people dancing, and plenty moshing, and we all did it together It is a very small venue, and there were a feew misunderstandings with some metalheads But there was no fights, there was a small "grab fest" but no punches were thrown and it was done in less than 5 seconds, it was simply a personal space issue NOT A FIGHT yeah i definitely think that the tiny space in the front was the biggest problem. its really hard to dance in there without hitting people, and it seems like people understood that. I just foresee bad seeds that could cause problems in the future, or how things could have gotten ugly fast, especially in a small venue like the duck. *hugs and kisses* this is my main problem with the show last night... i felt like i had to stand and watch the pit all night to make sure nothing went down. there was definite tension in the air during naked in alaska's set. wade had to stand on a chair and like hover over the pit to make sure everything was cool... there werent any fights, but ooooh man there were about 8 that could have happened if things went slightly different. this was a good step, but definitly still not the goal. im looking forward to a day when there is no tension and its a big family time. also whose the big guy with the long hair head banging/moshing the whole time? sleevless shirt? you are so familiar, we know eachother, yet i do not know your name! TELL ME IT NOW! definitely sean corkhole. by the by jordan, you and i see each other at lane like every day. one of these days ill say hi. i was standing right next to travis when he was trying to talk to the guy calmly and the dude was getting in his face, so please don't tell me they were not instigating, i understand people may have bumped them or whatever, none the less they were instigating. Travis was calmly trying to talk to the dude. man when i saw that big crew go back there to the dude with the bloody nose i was like "oh man here it comes!" and i was ready to jump in there and break up a fight..... THEN A DANCER APOLOGIZED TO THE GUY HE HIT!!!!!! thats what i love to see dude!!!!!! i was like "no way did that just happen..." then there was yelling for a little bit, but i dont know what happened with that, i wasnt close enough. but that was soooo great to apologize. was that you travis? anyways, besides the overall tension and a few instances of picking on the "tweens" there, i think everything went well. hopefully we can continue this trend. and the bands were sick!!! arkhum seemed to be having a good time, and i could hear stephen's riffs better with his new gear. cordell seems to be getting tighter too. karma is sooo beef. before the show they were telling me they didnt know any of their songs and their bass player was going to play a guitar without a strap made to sound like a bass....... but i let them borrow mine and tune it down to G.... it turned out amazing! they really puller their ish together in no time. i cant believe they pulled out an improv session right there! who does that??? its been too long since ive heard a good bree. say what you will, i love that crap. naked in alaska has a good groove too. maybe that sorta music has been overdone, but oh well, its still rockin. was there another band? i dont remember. they probly sucked.

Good point man. My homie Wayne and I definately felt like we had to keep an eye out as we were up on the chairs with Wade the entire show. I just feel like if we weren't there to keep an eye on things, things could have easily gotten out of hand which took away from my show expierience as I'm someone who actually likes to enjoy the music and watch the performers.

brandon, the person appoligizing was one of the kids who is considered a regular problem, after travis and i talked some sense into him. and i really think we are just being negative again, yeah maybe there was some tension, maybe one person was swinging to hard, but like sean said, it was a huge step in the right direction. something we need to focus on is the "i thought there was going to be another fight, and then it was an appologie" we should take that to heart, in a heavy heavy way.

Cory has a million things in his face He's kind of hard to miss More like a BILLION things in my face with TWO MILLION GAYGED EARHOLES. but yeah, that was me. Next time anyone sees me at a show come up and introduce yourself. Its difficult and weird putting online persona's to real life. Maybe we should organize a meet and greet or something haha. I take it you're the bassiest for Vivid (I think that's the name?) Hat n' glasses?
