I'm pretty sure that we won't want to use Alton Baker if it's rainy anyways, so beach chairs sound sweet to me. Fuck. Why not have a Barbeque?

Somewhere with a barbeque. Why not do it at someone's house??? It could switch houses when people get sick of having a billion people at their house, it could switch. It doesn't have to be a set place.

Me too. If everyone could pitch in for some barbeque materials, like some steak/chips/2-liters, I have a barbeque and a rather large front yard with chairs for chillin. We also would have to find a day that would be good for everyone, preferably one where the majority of the members aren't working. Friday sounds nice. Input?

Socializing is for communists. Just kidding. Sounds fun. I'd be down. i think thats funny. also, how about we have it at a venue, like mm or something. we could also have bands play there!!!!!!!!!! and charge admission.

That's a good idea. If we were doing that though, it wouldn't really be any diff from a show.

i was kind of making a joke.... that was the point.
why dont we have an all out outdoor bash-fest-extravaganza with all the regular 541MS bands playing all day with a BBQ and everything, with like outside games to play like ultimate frisbee or something. that could incorporate chris and danny making announcements and giving away merch (in fact, all the bands could give away merch there...)
i think it all would have to be focused around one thing, like a fundraiser or something...

You know I just joined this board yesterday but i have to to say that it's really good to see someone taking an actual grassroots style interest in our local scene. I'm out playing bar shows with my band and checking out other local bands regularly but rarely see a sense of community. I would definitely be into a meeting

Dude, definitely a good idea. When I log on here, I see names, mostly. When I go to shows, I see faces. Not many connect. A few do, but not nearly enough. So I'm down. Just let me know what you guys decide, and I'll do my best to show up/contribute.

I think of this sounds great and fun.. But, how are supposed to connect and communicate with bands blaring in our faces??

there would be far longer gaps in between sets, and a facilitator, like the douchebag that was talking in between bands at the taboo show, only cooler.

Brandon. You're so smart. Hahahaha. I wish I lived closer... So I could be a more active part of 541ms.
But I think this meeting thing is a brilliant idea! It sounds totally awesome!!!
