where are some good places to put fliers around town? Restaurants downtown often let you post a flier up; Me and Danny always go up and down 13th street from about Alder to probably Willamette and hit every single light pole on both sides of the street; I like to do the same thing on 18th and/or 19th; Campus is always good: Roma, there are several boards by the EMU that you can staple things up on. For that matter, me and Dan sometimes actually go through the EMU, steal some tacks, and put up our fliers on their boards; If you can follow someone in, it's always a good idea to get into some of the heavily-trafficked dorm areas (the places where they get food, study, etc.) and put up fliers on their boards. It also never hurts to hand out handbills to dorm kids. They're always looking for things to do on the weekends; Don't forget you can go to Valley River Center and give a stack to Hot Topic and Zumiez; You can always stop by skate shops like Boardsports, Tactics and Cactus and see if they'll let you leave a stack of handbills or put up a flier. It's really easy to find places for fliers. Just take a walk downtown and look in every single business window. If you see fliers taped up, it's probably a safe bet you can walk in and ask to get yours put up. Always bring your own clear tape, though! Oh yeah, don't forget places like CD World and House of Music. There are probably several more little music shops I haven't listed but you get the idea. Let me know if you need any more advice, and good luck!

Also, putting up posters is typically a bust because they'll get taken down without a housing stamp on them. Best way to do it and get it posted by RAs and even advertised in every hall is to submit posters/fliers a couple weeks in advance to University Housing (if you're interested I can be an avenue for that as well). WOW Hall and Indigo do it for a lot of their shows, nice color posters a couple weeks in advance for some of the touring acts they've booked for the next month or so. I put em up as soon as I get them but it takes nearly a week to get through housing.

I always see fliers and such at 7/11's throughout the city.
