All shows are gonna be fucked if this keeps happening.

It's one of three good venues in the area. If it doesn't stop, Brahmin gunna start doing more out of town shows.

Yeah man, all age shows are where it's at. While they do make some money, the people running the venues aren't going to allow them anymore, if shit like this keeps happening.
It seems, to me anyways, that a lot of people go to shows to fight. Because then they have the excuse of "We're just having fun!"
It's bull.

Arkhum would be down with doin' some shows in Cottage Grove. I'm not sure what kind of scene they have there. But it would be sick either way.

They have more of a metal scene, but they have some kids that are more into the hardcore stuff. A lot of kids there are more down for metalcore type bands.

Ah, I see.
Well...I guess Arkhum and Brahmin can brutalize them then.
Haha...
Also...Sandy is a great place to play. It's up near Portland, if you didn't know.

I'd be down to play anywhere. I want to get established in the surrounding area as well. Set ourselves up for distant future touring.

I can't help but think this is funny. I like all these kids, but narrow minded bullshit is still happening? really? really? brandon is using the term "bro" as in "jocking out", fighting. "mother fucker just looked at me weird, like he's a faggot or something. maybe he wants his ass beat" and if someone doesn't give in to ridiculous, juvenile bullshit, it's what these kids consider an unavoidable fight. literally no reason or logic whatsoever. just...stop. simple. i am well aware of what the term means when used in this regard. however, i view it as being derogatory in the sense that these people don't use the term themselves. i understand what people are trying to say, but labeling a person as such is not at all fixing the problem. rather, it's a way of insulting a person...and i was only trying to illustrate the fact that this is a term used in many fashions. in mainstream, the video is a good example of what the term normally would mean. that being said, why are we perpetuating this? he got kicked out/banned...what more is there to say on the subject? he isn't even arguing that he didn't fight. so why are we still debating this? yeah, it sucks when fights happen, but few people here can say that at some point in their life they haven't (or at least haven't wanted to) clock someone in the face...some people are more succeptible to doing so, but maybe it's a problem we can all address together rather than picking on someone for having that tendency. dalin is NOT a bully by any means. this is how he chooses to solve problems. how can we fix it? being positive towards him. ranting and raving about what a piece of shit he is for fighting will deteriorate any trust he has built for any of you. at some point, we all need to be grown-ups about this and realize that negativity only breeds more negativity. in contrast, positivity breeds positivity. i think your answer lies there. be nice to the kid, give him a break. the last show i went to a couple of weeks ago was great and there were no fights. he isn't looking for trouble, fighting is his outlet when he is pissed at someone. so instead of being complacent, what is it that you plan to do to change this? if it isn't dalin, it's someone else. don't think that fights will never happen. things get blown out of proportion sometimes, words are misunderstood. shit happens. learn to rise above...and when you do, teach others to do the same. right?

Yeah man, Sandy is a really awesome place to play. Arkhum's playing there in June actually, again. It's gonna be awesome.

I would also say everyone needs to be quiet about this whole Dalin and Terry thing. It happened, people complaining about it won't make it not happen. Which...is impossible, because it already did. Yes, all the people involved were out of line...extremely out of line...but I state once again, I do not think any one person is to blame.
Yeah....

DALIN IS NOT A PIECE OF SHIT. He just doesn't know how to act, and the venue owners don't want to have to deal with kids that aren't quick to learn their rules. He's not a bad kid, he just feeds off of what other kids are doing from what I've seen. That's how it is with a lot of kids in his group. No one in particular, and I'm not calling anyone a piece of shit, blah blah blah. Some of them jump in, regardless of their obliviousness to who started the fight, which to be honest, is putting way too much faith in their friends. I think, as I have said before in this thread, that they need to learn awareness.

I would agree man.
There really isn't much else to say. They acted ridiculous. I'm glad people know what it means to cover someone's back. But when it's like 8 people on 1, that's not covering someone's back, that's beating the living hell out of the one person.
Plus...break it up, don't perpetuate the fight further...
