I only stayed for Jean Grey and I was running sound for them. I must say that they are just rad, they can tear the shit out of anywhere they go! Its awesome!
Quick question for everyone, this is the first time I have mixed in Eugene and for Jean Grey, How do you think they sounded? I would love input! I know the drums were not very present but there was not much i could do with no sound check for them.... Anywho, What did you think?
Thanks!

alright here goes....
BANDS JEAN GREY: started with my favorite song by them, slaughtering. love it!!! like the best song ever. i do have to be honest though, im impressed by the technicality of the new songs, but i really do like the old ones better, they make me want to move. DUDE they have such legit gear!!!! cant even explain.
ATONEMENT: SICK! new song is awesome, nothing to say that hasnt already been said though.
IT PREVAILS: last 2 times i saw them i didnt like them, i dont know why.... but anyways, i friggin loved them that time! so powerful.
AMERICAN ME: they were pretty brutal. i really appreciated when homeboy was telling people to keep it clean, that was pretty cool of him. their music was rad... thats about it.
SOUND: vocals too loud, guitars and drums way too quiet. taboo is a great metal venue, too bad everyone who works there doesnt know a thing about metal sound......
RULES: i hated seeing people get kicked out for silly things, but the truth is that everyone was so scared of getting kicked out that there was no threat of a fight... it sucks that it had to come to it, but i think the no dancing rules made a positive difference. i could really tell that john was trying to be cool about the dancing too.
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: best show since campbell club, and the best shows before that were some of the good ones at agate hall... i am very glad i went.

The rules arent the reason for there not being a fight Certain shows have a different vibe then others The run with the hunted show didnt have any fights and there was plenty of dancing and crowd smashing alike Give the dancers SOME credit when they act chill

I really really enjoyed this show. I probably enjoyed this show the most out of all shows, ever. I would have to agree with Travis. I give the dancers that followed the rules a lot of credit. Much respect to you guys.

I do hope you all enjoyed this show, because in the end, the bands got HOSED financially due to the fact the cover charge was so cheap. The original deal was $7, not $5 or $3, which was what Taboo figured their services were worth. Sad.

Yeah, that's what I was told too.
But it ended up being $5 for underage kids, and $3 for 21+ people.

Hm.. That's not cool. It should have been 5 for everyone. Because, they're touring bands. But there was a lot of people there.. So they should have gotten a good amount of money.
