Who likes it. A lot of people don't like that term, so deathmetal with breakdowns and other hardcore/metalcore elements. A lot of the dancers round here only like straight up hardcore, but Whitechapel has some annihilating breakdowns. How do y'all feel about Atonement shifting in that direction? I'm bored.

i have never ever danced as hard as i did at whitechapel, i love them, and there breakdowns hit harder then any straight hardcore band. period.

thats because whitechapel is soooooooooooooo sick. i like alot of so called 'death-core' bands. through the eyes of the dead, oceano, impending doom, the red chord. in fact those are some of my favorite bands. and i like that atonement shifted in that direction, that whole band is a bunch of super studs.

They are sickkkkkkk. All Shall Perish, Emmure, Winds of Plague and Terror. There'll be some hard-hitting b-downs at that one for sure. Wage Slaves live is gunna be sick!

i wouldn't call the red chord, or impending doom deathcore, they are both sick, and have there breakdown'y moments, but def not straight deathcore. i love emmure, but i was really unimpressed live. as far as genre's aside from hiphop, deathcore is probably my favorite.

The Red Chord/Animosity etc. are like on the opposite end of the deathcore spectrum from bands like Whitechapel/Impending Doom. More grindy. Still deathcore imo.

i would call red chord deathcore mainly because they arent quite death metal, yet they have alot of hardcore elements to them.

When I said grindy, I didn't mean like Waking the Cadaver grindy, I meant like Napalm Death grindy. They do have a lot of hardcore elements. Sometimes deathcore blows ballz tho. I went and saw Brahmin last night, they sucked mad testes.

I found this sickass set of deathcore lyrics!!!!!
check it out
You are Special -Fred M. Rogers
You are my friend You are special You are my friend You're special to me. You are the only one like you. Like you, my friend, I like you.
In the daytime In the nighttime Any time that you feel's the right time For a friendship with me, you see F-R-I-E-N-D special You are my friend You're special to me. There's only one in this wonderful world You are special.
So fuckin brutal, I was like fvckin DUDE! I have to know what hes saying.... so i like looked up the lyrics and like theyre like SO HEAVY, dont you think so? Sh!t yeah dude.
But really, core is a substitute for emo. everytime. Now not like emotional emo, like eyeliner angst emo
Deathmetal is heavy shit It should have never got the core strapped to it because Deathmetalemo is not heavy at all.
Core relates to Hardcore Which is pu$$y $h!t
Lets goto hell together, playing deathmetal Nothing more, and certainly nothing less
PS... I have read nothing on this thread, just felt like ranting
Yes!

Hardcore is badass imo. You like Emmure. That's metal-ish hardcore. You like Atonement? Deathmetal with phatty b-downs. Deathcore. Not that especially love the ter, it's kinda funny, it's just what it's called now.
